**As you bend the corner, around a low rise covered in shrubs and ferns, you’re surprised to see a small village bustling beside a placid lake. Bright houses burst from the brush like colourful teeth.
The dock is filled with little vessels, and the smell that billows on the wind confirms that fishermen work this lake. It seems wholesome enough as villagers welcome you into the square where a large statue stands.
You overhear talk of a wedding to be held in the square and of a market that happens every other week. Still, some of the villagers eye you wearily. Untrusting of strange adventurers, they duck back inside to the warmth of their hearths, leaving you to wonder what mysteries go on below the surface of this sweet hamlet.**
Lakeside Village [39×44] brings ruins to life – houses are fully filled, some with extra levels to allow deeper exploration. Variations for a market and wedding are included as well as different options for heading underground. The Foundry scene comes lit and walled, uses animated doors and provides plenty of customization options. Also, it makes use of levels for both attics and cellars.
